MANLY

This project was a renovation-extension of an original (1930-era) cottage in Manly.

The major challenge was the thoughtful retention of many of the cottage’s original features, and to ensure that new elements were sympathetic to that original aesthetic. Creating spaces where the ‘new’ speaks the same design and function language as the ‘old’, is always a delicate process.

The primary complications on this project were around meeting the client brief whilst ensuring the project brought the cottage to life again and up to current code standards.
